Where Anything is Possible!

College is hard enough, without having to worrry about what is going to happen when that oh, so happy day of graduation is over. The big questions begin to hit like the spector of a bad test, " Where am I going to live? What about school loans? MONEY? When I started thinking about this, I thought for sure that I was gonig to quit school and live with my parents for the rest of my life! (I don't think so!)So, I decided that I had better start now, thinking about my future, post school activites. I mean I knew that I wanted to marry my boyfriend, maybe buy a little house somewhere, a dog, trips to Europe, no kids. But, what about all the money that it takes to have that wedding, to buy that home, to feed that dogand take that trip to Europe? I knew that the sooner I start planning for all of that, and more, the better off I would be! So, I sat down and thought about whereI wanted to go, and where I wanted to be. And, wouldn't you know, I saw a light at the end of the tunnel.

My name is Beth and I am a junior English Education major at Indian University of Pennsylvania! Although graduation may be in the distant future, I would like to begin my search for teaching postions that are avaiable all over the country! I have spent a considerable amount of time, and money, in school, so I would like to see it pay off.On an interesting note, I am currently researcing motivational techniques that teachers have used in their classroom settings. I have been amassing this information since the beginning of the semester, and plan to continue researching until the end of this semester, that way when I begin to teachI have an idea about what os going on !

My Life in a Nut Shell! (College is My Life)

As for my qualifications, so far, registration is next week, I would like to begin with some of the classes I am taking. I will complete my liberal studies requirements this semester, Spring 99, and I will be free to take a full semester of English classes in the Fall. I am currently enrolled in Educational Psychology, American Education in Theory and Practice, and Clinical Expierence 1. In this class, I spent an entire week at a high school, teaching and interacting with students! I learned so much from being in the actual classroom setting that it made me want to be a teacher all the more! I suggest getting as much classroom expierenc as possible because this is where the real work is done! You also get to see how well you paid attention in class!
